This striking bracelet is highlighted by an antique African Trade Bead. These 19th century beads were handmade in Murano, the tiny island next to Venice, Italy, and traded with Africa. So important was this glass bead-making to Venice's prosperity that the master glass blowers were treated as royalty...but were not allowed to leave the island state. The bracelet is completed with Italian red coral bright blue Afghani lapis.
This one-of-a-kind bracelet carries a long history and fascinating story and is a conversation starter!
