Jewelry

Jewelry has always been an integral part of culture in the Himalaya. The people of Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and India wore their wealth with jewelry made of coral, turquoise, amber, agate, silver and gold. And for festivals, everyone wore their finest jewelry to display their wealth and status. Today, Mahakala Fine Arts continues this tradition with necklaces, prayer beads, bracelets, rings, earrings, pendants and other treasures. Some are one-of-a-kind antique pieces that we stumble upon. Others we repurpose from old jewelry that needs a fresh breath and reincarnation. Still others are modern creations made by today's finest Himalayan artisans or our designers.

As our travels take us around the world, we continue to add to our collection. We have recently added beautiful Native American Navajo jewelry and Sleeping Beauty turquoise from America's southwest, and African trade beads made in Venice over 400 years ago.
