This historical painting is part of Mukti Singh Thapa's 'Early Collection' and was completed in 1990. Amitabha symbolizes mercy and wisdom and reigns over Sukhavati, or the Western Pure Land. Eight bodhisattvas are in the background with the white Avalokiteśvara and yellow Manjushree on either side, and five goddesses, Pancha Raksha, on the bottom. This stunning thangka is painted in the Newari style of the 16th century and displays Thapa's mastery of this period through its rich color palette and expert use of traditional iconography.

This beautiful dress is handmade by artisans at our studio in Rajasthan with 100% organic cotton and natural indigo dye. The soft natural fabric breathes, making them ideal for warm weather and relaxed days. This lovely dress has two handprinted designs will bring harmony to your day.
The magic of this dress lies in the handmade dabu printing. Dabu is an age-old process that has been perfected over generations in India. A local mud mixture is hand printed on natural cotton cloth using hand-cut wood block prints and left to dry. The cloth is then dipped into the natural indigo vat, where the area with the mud resists the dye, and the rest is colored a beautiful blue. After washing, the secret is revealed. Part of the beauty of dabu fabric lies in fact that each block is placed by the artisan’s hand - what is left behind is an imprint of the personality and character of the blockprinter. Slight variations are to be celebrated.
Fabric: 100% Organic Cotton
Size: This dress is relaxed with plenty of room to breathe.
Care: Fabrics with indigo tend to transfer color. We recommend washing before first usage to remove any surface dyes. Wash separately or with darker colors. Gentle machine wash recommended. Do not dry in the sun to avoid bleaching.
