This one-of-a-kind antique necklace is highlighted by a 19th century Tibetan gau. Gau, or g'au, are small prayer boxes that were used when Tibetans travelled and wanted to carry Buddhist prayers and relics with them. The front of this handmade gau is handmade from sterling silver and decorated with lovely turquoise. The removable back is made of bronze and can open to store valuable objects. The necklace is turquoise and lapis with silver breads.
