This beautiful dress is handmade by artisans at our studio in Rajasthan with 100% organic cotton and natural indigo dye. The soft natural fabric breathes, making them ideal for warm weather and relaxed days. This unique style comes from the Himalayan region of Ladakh and is sure to catch everyone's attention.
The magic of this dress lies in the handmade dabu printing. Dabu is an age-old process that has been perfected over generations in India. A local mud mixture is hand printed on natural cotton cloth using hand-cut wood block prints and left to dry. The cloth is then dipped into the natural indigo vat, where the area with the mud resists the dye, and the rest is colored a beautiful blue. After washing, the secret is revealed. Part of the beauty of dabu fabric lies in fact that each block is placed by the artisan’s hand - what is left behind is an imprint of the personality and character of the blockprinter. Slight variations are to be celebrated.

Nestled in the foothills of the Indian Himalaya, Kashmir is the original source for cashmere, hence the name, that was then exported to colonial Britain. Kashmir became famous for its soft materials as well as its rich designs and patterns.
This scarf is made from the soft hair of high altitude Changthangi goats from the Ladakh region. Skilled Kashmiri artisans then sew silk thread into intricate designs onto the pashmina, taking months and years depending on the design. Lastly, each scarf is signed by the artisan in silk thread as a seal of authenticity.

Shibori is an ancient dying technique that has been practiced for centuries by artisans in India and Japan. The process starts by dying the cloth in pomegranate, followed by stitching or wrapping thread through and around fabric. The fabric is then dipped into a natural kashish dye vat. The stitching resists the dye, thereby creating fabulous designs on the cloth. The secrets of this craft has been passed down through the generations and to create an outstanding design takes expertise in stitching as well as the dying process. Slight variations are to be celebrated.
These flowing pants are two layers of light cotton, with shibori on the outside and a matching solid grey on the inside. They have two comfortable pockets in the front. An elastic waist and drawstring assures a comfortable fit.
